Turmeric is an amazing anti-aging beauty tonic

Turmeric, known as the star spice in curries and used as a top agent for healing in both Indian Ayurveda and Chinese medicine is a plant that I want everyone to know about. How many of you out there have ever felt inflamed? Maybe it's your stomach, your wrist, or perhaps even your skin? These are not the times that we want to just wait out the pain. We want real results and we want em fast! So guess which spice was taken in a randomized study to help with inflammatory issues alongside another group of individuals who were taking ibuprofen and results turned out to be quite similar? You guessed it. It’s amazing, given that some people may not even know about turmeric’s healing properties, who are very quick to run to their closest drugstore for relief, but meanwhile there is “comparatively little evidence of harm to the stomach”.[1] While you are at that drugstore, take a look around. You will notice the assemblage of skin care products promising to reduce your unwanted inflammation. Well turmeric has been known to help "heal and prevent dry skin, and to slow the skin aging process, and is used to diminish wrinkles, keep skin supple and improve skin’s elasticity. Turmeric is used for acne because of its antiseptic and antibacterial properties that fight pimples and breakouts. It removes redness from acne and other types of scarring, reduces inflammation and evens out skin discolorations”.[2]  You can even make your own masks at home, with your friends and end up saving money on skin care products.  You really have to try this yourself to experience its power.
