Nourishing Holiday Smoothie

Tip #1 Drink a Green Smoothie for Breakfast

  • 1 Frozen Banana (chopped)
  • 1 cup Watercress
  • 2 cups Spinach
  • ¼ cup Almond Butter (My favorite is raw and sprouted almond butter. When you buy roasted almond butter)
  • 1 scoop Whey Powder
  • 1 cup Coconut Water

Place ingredients into Vitamix in the order listed below:

1. Base: Frozen Bananas

{Use hard and chunky ingredients such as frozen fruits, nuts, or seeds.}

2. Bulk: Spinach, Watercress and Almond butter

{Soft, chunky ingredients like leafy greens and nut butters. We use watercress because it was ranked the #1 powerhouse vegetable.}

3. Powders or superfoods: Tera's vanilla whey protein

Whey Powder is our powder or superfood of choice. We do not place powder on the bottom of smoothie because the smoothie will not blend evenly. We recommend teras whey because it is organic, hormone-free and fresh, plus the vanilla adds a nice flavor.}

4. Liquid: Coconut water

{You could also use regular water or any kind of milk}

5. Ice
